The Best Dog Training Classes For People

Training Family Dogs with Treats Isn’t Good Long term

In my opinion, I’m all for any of the Methods that use Positive Reinforcement dog training classes for their dogs. I don’t think the best training techniques for dogs involves spoon-feeding treats to get “results”. In my opinion, this isn’t in the owners best long term interest!

I say stop giving your dog treats for doing something you want them to do every day! I believe the best training techniques for dogs should be the owner’s/Trainers honest approval. It’s important to praise for a good job at listening and following a basic command. That is what I call the “Sugar“. (Food treats are for being dogs). Food is a way to get your dog’s early attention, but it never should become a long term position! Food treats used as training techniques for dogs must be stopped.

Dog Training Classes For Owners and Pets

I like to day I help dog owners build the dog they want versus just dealing with the dog they got. I provide family and personal dog training, is everyday family dog training for owners and their pets. Other trainers can do the high-end treat training used in Police or Secret Service duty and for TV and Films work. This

My idea of a good training technique for dogs is giving them a good dog “treat” of your energy instead of food. Dogs should do what you ask and have trained them to do when you ask. I’m giving a dog clear and honest approval of what I see returning from him. That “treat” of accomplishment given to them, is definitely more impactful & longer-lasting than a gobbled up dog treat. Treats of approval and satisfaction given to a dog at the right time, will create a cohesive bond between them. I think people should give dog’s treats “Because” dogs love them.

“Training Doesn’t Have to Be Cruel and Punishment-Oriented”

Here’s a quote from a Positive Reinforcement expert about this Method of training techniques for dogs. “Training doesn’t have to be cruel and punishment-oriented,” Sylvia-Stasiewicz says. “If you train using positive reinforcement, you’ll get a trained dog, and you will maintain the spirit of that dog.” This approach fully mirrors my philosophy and method at Way of a Dog.

Training Techniques For Dogs “Personal Perspective”

Some dog owners believe that I might come in and turn their dog into something they won’t recognize. I respond by saying… I do change attitudes…sometimes drastically! In fact, isn’t that why you hired me in the first place? Most of the dogs I work with have morphed into something their owners can’t control or don’t recognize and understand anymore.

Most of the negative change these owners see in their dogs have happened right under their noses (or it came with a new adoption). Dogs “go rogue” in many ways, but mostly it occurs when owners allow it to happen over time. Way of a Dog uses training techniques for dogs and owners to provide proper oversight, corrections and long term understanding.

My Prescription for Your Dog’s Over-Reactions

My belief is that most of a dogs decisions are pre-established from all of their previous set of experiences. Like in a Rolodex of preset reaction cards. These metaphorical reaction “cards” inside dogs heads, have very clear responses and states of minds related to what’s “written” on them. Think squirrels, postmen, arriving guests and other dogs.

There are profound implications for dogs and their owners when each of these cards get “Triggered”. When a dog is presented these established “triggers”, they will then act as prescribed…and Waalah! A Predictable occurrence!

Dogs Can’t Help But React to That Presented “Card”

Those irrational and drastically overblown decisions stemming from this dog state of mind, are usually carried out in mindless repetition. Picture all of your dogs experiences and reactions engrained onto a recipe card! Once written, dogs will simply continue to react when that “Provocative Card” is presented.

Think doorbells or cat fights. Over time, the problems worsen when dogs amplify their “Normal” reactions that morph into over-reactions, which then lead them into becoming serious obsessions. When proper training techniques for dogs are used, you will be able to actively rewrite all of your dog’s bad and poor reaction cards!

Someone Who’s Panicking Can’t Really Listen

Could you have a calm and reasonable conversation with a person whose house is on fire, or who is drowning? This is one reason good dog training classes for dogs can help dog owners see the bigger picture. A person cannot have a rational conversation when their house is on fire…or when they are drowning for that matter. How can you expect to connect with your dog when it’s constantly worrying or unsure or distracted in its head?

Dogs in these irrational and drastically overblown states of mind regularly make poor decisions. Certain decisions and overreactions are constantly and consistently causing all the same issues over and over again for their owners. My training techniques for dogs can help owners break the overreaction cycle. Dog owners learn how they can get and keep their dogs attention using my Stop Sit & Wait method.

Timing & Training Techniques for Dogs can help owners

Many training techniques for dogs should be used during a dog owners daily routine.  If done properly and with precision timing, family dogs will ultimately get out of their own heads and give their owner some better and clearer responses.

I show dog owners how and when to reward their pet for giving them focus and for their calmer reactions.  My Stop Sit & Wait Method helps dogs to rewrite their previous over-reactions with ones that are closer to what the owner needs from their dogs. Calmer and more responsive pets are what I seek for my dog owners.| Fresno, Clovis, Chowchilla, Madera, Visalia, Tulare, Hanford

Feeding Dog Treats Hampers Long Term Connections

When considering my training techniques for dogs, feeding a dog Treats during training is only a short term fix. Running out of treats or having to reverse a dogs treat dependence may eventually become yet another issue and impediment to any future training.

“Treat Trained” dogs are much harder for professional trainers and motivated owners to get to listen without using treats. What happens when you don’t have a treat to stop your dog from running into the street after a cat?

Teach Dogs How to Listen to Their Humans

My training techniques for dogs can guide them on how to listen to their humans. Dogs should discover the amazing things they can and will want to learn from their owner/trainer. Here are examples of some of my training techniques for dogs during one of my Dog Day Immersions.
