Welcome to Clovis Dog Training

Clovis Dog Training and Me

Clovis Dog Training | Fresno, Clovis, Chowchilla, Madera, Visalia, Tulare, Hanford

Hello and a “Howdy Y’all” from Clovis Dog Training

My name is Joe Ozier, owner of Way of a Dog. I was born in Fresno, Ca back in 1956, and eventually was raised to be a dog trainer in Clovis. It is a large city that Clovis quietly grew up alongside of. Today, they pretty much blend into each other…kinda like stirring whipping cream into your hot coffee. Way of a Dog gives me the opportunity to help dog owners understand their dogs issues. I show them how to correct them using positive reinforcement techniques.

The striking difference between Fresno Dog Training and Clovis Dog Training is that… Clovis has a true small town feel to it. Fresno and the surrounding county has a large population and has all the traffic and expected hustle & bustle lifestyle. However, Clovis is engineered to have the small town feel…which is what Fresno felt like in the 1960s and 70s to me.

The pioneer and man of vision, Marcus Pollasky

“The town of Clovis is a product of the pioneer and man of vision, Marcus Pollasky, who along with a group of prominent Fresnans raised over $100,000 in 1891 to build a single freight stop along the San Joaquin Valley Railroad, opening a gateway from the San Joaquin Valley to the east.” https://oldtownclovis.org/history/

Today, the town is a thriving community with great schools & restaurants, friendly people and lots of Art and Culture to explore. As a trusted Dog Trainer in and around Clovis, the citizens and the City of Clovis have always welcomed me into their homes. They, too, love the training and information I provide them. I go out of my way to help clients with their disruptive or untrained dogs.

I have helped many Clovis residents learn to understand and lead their dogs correctly, through positive reinforcement. Here’s a link to my Current Training Packages:

People Come from All over the World

It’s heartening to see the community participation from the residents of Clovis. They artfully attend the many events and activities that await tourists and visitors. Having participated in over 4 years in Clovis Vendor events, I have sold both of my children’s books-Shea’s Lounge & Jimmy’s Tree. I have sold books to people who live in Canada and Iceland and Paris and New Zealand to name some.

These foreign visitors are all coming through this small town to buy my unique book to take home to their families around the world. That’s exciting, and I’m happy to be a purveyor of my products and services.

The City of Clovis has welcomed me as a children’s author Vendor in their first year of Farmers Market and Art Hop. I was included in the Clovis Roundup publication announcing the new merger of the Farmers Market and Art Hop.

Clovis Takes Care of it’s Own

Here’s a very recent example of the type of people I was describing earlier, who live in Clovis. It happens to be about Photographer Ron Sundquist.  The Fresno Bee took interest. I know Ron is a real professional and his Cameras and Photo equipment are his life.
